Professional Profile

Chris has been in higher education since 2006 with proven track record of developing and implementing effective marketing and communications strategies in supporting the mission and vision of various colleges and programs.

Chris joined the University of Kentucky in 2015, where he was first hired as the Director of MBA Recruitment at the Gatton College of Business and Economics, followed by the Director of Marketing and Communications at the College of Public Health in 2021.

In 2023, Chris joined the University of Kentucky Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment as the Associate Director of Communications. In this role, he is passionate about promoting the college's mission of improving lives in Kentucky through news, press releases, media relations, social media and more.

Chris' core competencies include storytelling, social media strategy, communications, events, admissions and recruitment as well as collaborating, building partnerships with internal and external stakeholders. 

Chris is a proud alum of the University of Georgia, where he earned a master's degree in marketing research and bachelor's degree in marketing and speech communications. Chris is also a graduate of Leadership Kentucky and Leadership Central Kentucky and has been active contributor in the University of Kentucky Staff Senate since 2018.
